The Easter Holiday made it possible for many disciples to come to see the Master. Spring had come; the blossoms of the trees filled the air with a heavenly fragrance. The first spring birds had arrived.

 The small community was filled with life. One could see disciples everywhere, standing in groups or by themselves. Some of them worked, others read, and still others were conversing with one another. Everyone had something he wished to share with his neighbors.

 Early in the morning we climbed to the hill above the village with the Master where we performed gymnastic exercises and Paneurhythmy. After that, we returned to the homestead refreshed and enlivened.

 We took our meals beneath the big walnut tree. It was warm, and the rays of the sun filtered through the young green of the branches making them look as if they were made of gold. The conversations were lively. The influx of life was felt not only in nature but also in the souls, minds and hearts of all people as if the seeds of a new life were sprouting. The Master was giving explanations while guiding and leading the wonderful phenomenon which happened independently from our participation. The Master said:

 "Read page 100 from the volume, The Eternal Blessing. A man with ordinary comprehension cannot manifest Divine Love. Only if an Evolved Being comes to dwell within him, even for an instant, can he manifest Divine Love.

 "I have spoken to you about Love, but the essential I have not yet told you. I am still in the introduction of Love. If I would pronounce the word Love as it should be, can you imagine what would happen to you? You would fill with Light, becoming illuminated and would put on Angelic forms.

 "Everything in the world is a manifestation of Love. But what Love is in reality, few people know. It is the Reality beyond the physical world. It is beyond your will, beyond your mind and your heart. It only has points of contact with them. With the existing conditions, Love acts intermittently from without until the human organism becomes adapted; because in its present composition, it cannot withstand Love's strong vibrations

 "Do not try to explain what Love is, but explain Her manifestations. Love is the only thing which man cannot define. You cannot explain the bread until you have eaten it. You cannot explain the water until you have drunk it. From now on, people will come to Love. It is the greatest and most Intelligent Power in the world. When She penetrates man, She brings the most sublime and beautiful manifestations of the Spirit. She is comprehensible to the great Teachers, to the great Initiates, to the great disciples, to the great believers, then to the great converts and lastly to the ordinary people.

 "There is something greater than knowledge in the world: this is Love.

 "If you want to come to the intrinsic purpose of things, to free yourselves of the constraints of life, you must love God. In reality, Love is the path which leads to true Knowledge. Do not occupy yourselves with the love which enslaves people. It is in the world, and you have experienced it. Divine Love does not create contradictions in life. It will make you strong and powerful. It will make you steadfast in your thoughts.

 "Divine Love begins with the following: a friend of yours comes to you and reads to you two stanza which he has written. Put yourself in his situation and be pleased as if you had written them. Instead, you listen; you are displeased and say to yourself, 'Why is it not me?' Someone has painted and shows you the painting - be pleased for him. Do not say, 'Why is it not me?' Someone has received an inheritance; be pleased for him. Someone else has put on beautiful clothes, be glad for him. You need to consider your brother's thoughts and feelings as your own and let them be sacred to you.

 "Yield to the Love within yourself. This means to put God in the highest place in your soul.

 "Your primary idea must be: to love as God loves. If you enter the Divine World with your human love, you will achieve nothing.

 "One of the qualities of Divine Love is as follows: a man who has this Love does not fall into enticement and temptation. No one can tempt the one in whose soul Love dwells.

 "He who has Divine Love is absolutely invulnerable. Even the wild beasts know Love, and when they meet Her on their path, they step aside.

 "When Love passes from one world into another, She creates suffering. He who understands this Law never becomes discouraged.

 "When the disciple desires to attain the Knowledge which Love brings, he needs to shed his old clothing - that is to say, all the unnecessary suffering - and to renounce selfishness.

 "Love is the first condition whereby a man determines his own state.

 "To love means to be in harmony with the Divine World of Love, with the Angelic World of Love, and with the human world of Love: that is, with all good people.

 "Man needs to know how to manifest Divine Love. She has thousands of modes of manifestation. A man needs to know them."
