The people of the world cannot change the Divine Order of things. In spite of the fighting and the destruction of the earth, spring came again. The meadows were greening; the first flowers were blossoming; the flower buds on the apple trees were swelling. The spiritual New Year, March 22, was drawing near. The small homestead became greatly enlivened. From everywhere, guests, brothers and sisters started to come. A shelter for all was improvised. Temelko's home was filled with people. This was a cordial gathering of friends. All faces radiated with joy and goodness. The unity in Love for which all people are longing filled their hearts and was glowing on the faces of everyone.

 On the day of the holiday, early in the morning at 5: 00 a. m., we gathered in the upper floor of the house. The room, the hallway, the terrace, the steps and the yard - all were filled with people.

 The morning sermons, prayers and songs were fulfilled by all of us. Then the Master gave the lecture The New in Life published later in The Testament of Love, Volume 1.

 After the sermon was finished, we all climbed to a peak above the village where we performed the morning gymnastic exercises followed by the Paneurhythmy. Then, while songs were being sung, everyone greeted the Master by kissing his hand.

 The day was beautiful; the sky - clear. The sun rose, and the earth felt its warmth. The small life around us pulsated in accord with the great Life. On this luminous day, we saw the sign of another Spring for which all souls are waiting and longing. We all wished for the new life of Love, brotherhood, peace and freedom to come for all nations on the face of the earth.

 After breakfast, we gathered again around the Master, singing more songs. A song is a universal language understood by everyone. Someone asked the Master, "In what way does God reveal Himself to man?"

 The Master said:

 "When God reveals Himself to a man, He sends him to work. If a man has the desire to live a righteous life, God must be the Ideal of his life. Do you think that God will come to live in your heart if within it exists disorder and chaos, if you quarrel with this or that one? In such a case, He will enter your heart and retreat immediately.

 "A Visitation by God is the greatest moment in the life of a soul. As short as it may be, it will have significance for Eternity.

 "There is a way by which God reveals Himself to his chosen ones. The great musician reveals himself only to his talented students. The great artist, poet or sculptor reveals himself only to his endowed students, never to the ordinary ones. Therefore, if we are prepared to devote our energy, life, health and everything else to God and are able to suffer through all hardships and suffering without ever doubting in Him, God will reveal Himself to us.

 "He who has come into contact with the Divine World is prepared to become a martyr and says, 'I am ready to sacrifice for God!'

 "If someone of you comes to feel God's Presence the way I understand it - the way I have experienced it - in one moment only he would be able to pacify an angry mob which is rioting with the slightest gesture of his hand and all would become silent. If in such an instant, you were to stand in front of an army of 100, 000, all canons would become silent. Such a great thing is the Presence of God!

 "There is one ideal which you must achieve: to be able to feel, at least for an instance, what the Great Love of God is. To come to know the connection among all beings, from the smallest to the Greatest - this is a great moment. If you had heard the Voice of God, you would no longer be an ordinary man.

 "The meaning of life is to wait for the time when God, the Absolute Reality, will visit you. You have waited for this for an eternity, wait yet a little longer. Wait until Love comes.

 "Life is neither physical nor spiritual. It has a physical or spiritual form, but Life is Divine.

 "Beauty is not in the forms, but in the Divine Life which is hidden within them. In every life, there is a moment when Reality can be sensed. You will then pass from one state into another. Only then will you come to understand the Great which is hidden within you. For the duration of your entire earthly life, only one year, one month, one week, one day, one hour, one minute, one second is set aside when Love can visit you. If you are able to make use of this moment, you will attain all achievements. If you cannot make use of it, your entire life is wasted. Everything else is only a preparation for this moment.

 "When Love comes to visit you, She will stay for one-thousandth part of a second. In this instant, She will have seeded something within you. Then that which has been sown in you will come to grow.

 "The wise man can hardly withstand one minute in the Presence of Love; yet for an ordinary man, even one-thousandth part of a second is a lot.

 "That which people call love are only the consequences of Love.

 "When you receive a letter from God, you will have eyes like the Angels have. And if with such eyes you look at someone, an awakening will set in for him."
